About the Border Patrol Supervisors Assn.

Border Patrol Supervisors Association

The Border Patrol Supervisors Association was created to help Supervisors feel confident in the performance of the duties we took on when we became leaders of our organization. Our Motto “Patronus Nostros” - “we take care of our own” - is meant to symbolize our dedication to each other and those we supervise.

Benefits of Membership

In today’s litigious society, it is increasingly challenging being a law enforcement officer. As such, it is critical to ensure we have the best legal defense coverage possible to feel comfortable in our legal actions. The Peace Officers Research Association of California (PORAC) Legal Defense Fund (LDF) provides that coverage as a non-profit trust. Unlike an insurance company, PORAC LDF does not have any underlying “profit motivation.” The LDF exists and functions solely to provide legal representation to officers in need. LDF has attorneys available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to handle emergency and/or critical incidents.

PORAC LDF is the nation’s oldest, largest, and most respected public safety legal plan, serving over 143,000 members nationwide. With coverage across the nation, Border Patrol Supervisors can rely on a legal team that knows law enforcement and the unique problems that face law enforcement agents in the legal performance of our duties.

The Border Patrol Supervisors Association also serves its members through PORAC. Please visit the PORAC site About Us | PORAC (poracldf.org) and feel free to take advantage of any of the great products available at discounted rates through our membership.
